International public debate "Studying in Croatia, the EU and the U.S. - Similarities and Differences", which is organized by the first privately-owned university Dubrovnik International University (DIU), will be held on May 13 at 6 p.m. in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb.
On this occasion, the audience will be addressed by Doris Pack, president of the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education and member of DIU's Advisory Committee, Janice McCormick, director of doctoral studies at Harvard Business School and a guest lecturer at DIU, Petar Selem, university professor, president of the Parliament Committee for Education, Science and Culture and dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts at DIU, and Miomir Žužul, president and rector of DIU.
After the short introductory presentations, the speakers will discuss and debate the differences, similarities and advantages of studying systems.

The aim of the public debate is to point out to the audience and the wider public, via the media, the similarities, differences and advantages of higher education systems in Croatia, the EU and the U.S. Eminent lecturers with experience in lecturing in numerous countries world-wide guarantee that a quality discussion over the best higher education experiences on an international plane will develop, on current trends in studying as well as differing higher education organizational systems. Today the world is linked more than ever before and future generations need to be prepared for functioning on an international plane.
