Thai New Year in Zagreb

 

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Karn Chiranond with wife Cholchineepan and daughter Gojamas Chiranond celebrated the Thai New Year in Zagreb, at a dinner event organized by the Thai Embassy and the Regent Esplanade Hotel.

Songkran Day - Water Festival was celebrated at Zinfandel's restaurant with authentic Thai dishes such as pomelo salad, spicy prawn soup, roast duck in red curry, sweet and sour sauce and beef in prawn sauce. Thai coconut jelly, cooked rice and mango, as well as fresh Thai fruit such as rambutan, guava, green mango and pitaya were served for dessert.

Ambassador's personal chefs Sumolphan Khonkayano and Saokam Ramsiri worked in Esplanada's kitchen that day and the guests were particularly impressed by Thai dancers who came from the Netherlands, from the Thai Performing Art Club.
