ZAGREB WINE GOURMET FESTIVAL

Tasting 550 wines

 

The third edition of the largest wine event in Croatia, the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival, will be held in the Museum of Arts and Crafts, on February 12 and 13, 2010. This year the Festival will present more than 550 different Croatian and international wines, including the winners of the Decanter golden medals from Croatia.

 

The two days exhibition of international oenology and gastronomy - the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival - will gather this year 140 exhibitors: 70 top wine producers from Croatia and almost 50 wine growers from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and New Zealand. The ZWG Festival will be opened both days from 10.30 AM till 7 PM. Beside the wine exhibition, the visitors can enjoy the culinary presentations, the cooking show of 15 great chefs and the special wine tastings.

 

The special wine tastings will be held on the 17th floor of the Hotel Westin, and managed by a diplomsommelier Mr. Željko Bročilović Carlos. Because of the limited number of seats, it is necessary to make a reservation at Gsm. +385 99 222 1561.

 

The visitors can taste more than 550 wines, including the wines from Croatia awarded by the golden medals at the last Decanter competition. Beside the free wine tasting, your ticket for the festival enables you to attend an international cooking show programme and taste the delicacies prepared by chefs coming from France, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Turkey and Croatia.

 

Among the VIP guests who will attend the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival 2010 there are Mrs. Lynne Sherriff, MW, The Vice President of the prestigious Institute of Masters of Wine, Mr. Yann Juban, the Vice President of OIV (Organisation internationale de la vigne et du vin), as well as journalists from the leading gastronomy and wine publications (Decanter, Falstaff, Gambero Rosso, The Independent).
