The well-known conductor and violinist has been conducting his own Strauss festival orchestra in Vienna for more than thirty years, and his performances and recordings of the music of Strauss family have made him worldwide famous, from Europe to Japan. He regularly works together with famous orchestras, such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London and the NHK Tokyo Symphonic Orchestra. In 2006 he was awarded the Vienna Golden medal for his contributions to music.
