Perutnina Ptuj - Pipo Čakovec Company is a member of the international food group Perutnina Ptuj Group since 2000. For more than 30 years it has been developing a rich tradition of breeding and processing chicken meat in the untouched nature of the green Croatian region - Međimurje. Since 2004 the Croatian company has been successfully headed by Predrag Šegović, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Economic Sciences. The production takes place in four countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and associate companies and subsidiaries are also in Austria, Romania and Macedonia. The company had established all production operations to comply with the HAACP system and the international quality standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004. Numerous international standards include the HALAL certificate. Some of the production sections are certified for the Russian, English and Swiss market, as well as the Kosher standards.We especially emphasizes that we are the only company in this region that produces salmonella-free meat for the Swiss market, which is particularly demanding. - Our development strategy is to extend our position in the North Africa and the Middle East and this is one of the reasons why our standards and our production are adjusting to this market segment. New product - Kebab Döner

With the vertically organized enterprise system, which is now carried out in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Serbia, Perutnina Ptuj Group is still among rare poultry companies that control all stages of production, from the farm to the table. In their own complete production chain, which includes day-old chicks production, broiler breeders, preparation of feed mixtures, slaughterhouses and processing of poultry meat and products, as well as their retail and distribution network, they daily produce quality, healthy and delicious products for existing, and those that are yet to become loyal customers, in more than 20 countries worldwide. The particularity of Perutnina Ptuj - Pipo Company from Čakovec in the region results from the production of chicken kebab with HALAL certificate, as we are told by MSc. Econ, D.V.M., Predrag Šegović:

 

- Kebab is one of the fastest growing products which is marketed through the facilities of fast food. We began the production in order to meet the growing needs of the market throughout the region - in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Greece, Kosovo, Romania, Bulgaria. We realised that the poultry industry in Croatia has developed to the extent that it can compete with any poultry industry in the European Union. Since all the necessary certificates have been implemented in production processes in Perutnina Ptuj - Pipo Čakovec we started the production. I invite all interested parties from the area in which the HALAL certificate is requested, to contact us regarding the distribution. High quality of Döner Kebab by Perutnina Ptuj - Pipo Čakovec was confirmed earlier this year at the largest international fair for food and agriculture in Europe, "Gruene Woche" in Berlin. For six days we tested consumer satisfaction with the taste, smell and appearance of our products. The reactions were very positive. It is interesting that even our competition praised the quality of our kebab.

 

The most famous Perutnina Ptuj Group's brand is Poli. Poli was the first chicken special sausage on the market and the true vanguard. It was and still remains the best, claims Šegović: " It has been popular and revered for over 36 years. Poli has long since outgrown its homeland. People are crazy about Poli from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean. There are more and more fans in Croatia, and it is popular among youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia".

- Regardless of the fact that the packaging had been modernized in recent years, the identity and the brand basis have not changed since it came to the market, said Director of Perutnina Ptuj - Pipo Čakovec Predrag Šegović. Poli is produced in many variations.
