German and French ambassadors testing e-smart
The German ambassador Bernd Fisher and the French ambassador Jerome Pasquier have joined the promotion of usage of renewable sources of energy by having driven Mercedes Benz's electric automobil, e-smart, through Zagreb. The vehicle is also a result of economic cooperation between Germany and France, as German e-smart is assembled in French Hambach.
- There are many reasons to advocate renewable sources of energy. Younger generations want to live healthier, and we have to provide the opportunity to do so. The idea is for e-smart to be in the garage where it is charged during the night. Solar cells, which are on the roof, collect the Sun's energy during the day and then store it for later charging the car. That way, the renewable energy circle is complete and that is in fact idyllic symbiosis of man and environment and a dream of all who love nature. - said ambassador Fisher.
