The Finnish Ambassador Ann-Marie Nyross and her husband Mr. Teemu Kassila hosted a farewell reception at their residence, on February 16. Heading the diplomatic corps, the Apostolic Nuncio to Croatia HE Msgr. Mario Roberto Cassari presented her with a gift - a crystal plate signed by the Ambassadors as a souvenir of the diplomatic term in Zagreb.
In addition to members of the diplomatic community, the reception was also attended by guests from political and public life and the NGO sector.
Finnish ambassador and her husband have been living in Croatia since August 2007, when they arrived from Strasbourg where H.E. Ann-Marie Nyroos was the Finnish Ambassador to the Council of Europe, a European organization specialised in the protection of human rights.
Ambassador Nyroos is going to stay in Croatia for the next two weeks and before she returns to Finland she is going to attend the inauguration of President Ivo Josipovic.
