Easter Regatta: Hvar

The Regatta is organized by PBZ Leasing and Sailing Club ANA, and the sponsors are PBZ, American Express, HT, Generali Insurance and Sunčani Hvar.

Red and Blue groups

This year the sailboats will be divided into two groups - Red and Blue. The Red group will be in accordance with the ORC International system classification and skilled Croatian sailors will participate. The Blue group will be sailing by the ORC Club system with Dacron sails and roll-jib.
In regatta finals the top eight crews from the Red group and the top three from the Blue Group will compete with equal sailboats to become the winner of the 14th Easter Regatta. The rules of this competition enable the crews with weaker sailboats to reach the finals, which is a novelty in our sailing. The results of the Red Group of Easter Regatta will be added up for the Croatian Sailing Federation Cup for cruisers, along with other five major regattas.

Prizes

The money prizes will be awarded by Privredna Banka Zagreb - HRK 75000, American Express - HRK 15.000, PBZ Leasing - HRK 15.000, Lexus - HRK 10.000, Biro data service - HRK 10.000, gift coupons will be awarded by Generali insurance - HRK 10000 all-risk insurance, GAASTRA - HRK 10000 worth of sailing clothing, Sunčani Hvar - one week hotel accommodation for two persons, Croatian telecom - 10 mobile phones, PBZ Card will give a trip to Cuba for two award, Croatia Airlines six international two-way airline tickets to several European destinations, Rijeka-Zagreb Highway - 10 ENC devices worth HRK 500, JK ANA a sailing school, and Svirče Farming cooperative famous Ivan Dolac wine. The City of Hvar has provided free berth in the port of Hvar and Sunčani Hvar has provided free transportation from the marina Palmižana to the quay in Hvar. Charter flights Zagreb - Split - Zagreb, have been provided for Regatta participants as well as a stay in the Amfora hotel at special prices.

According to a long-time director of Easter Regatta Peter Paštrovići this year a rich so-called dry program is also organized for the participants during the regatta, with a series of entertainment and cultural events. More info at the regatta website www.pbz-leasing.hr.

Applications are received by PBZ Leasing until March 15, telephone number: 01/6363-600 and fax. 01/6363-563, e-mail: regata@pbz-leasing.hr. Applications can also be made through an online application form.
Entry fee for the sailboat is HRK 1220, including VAT. Skippers, previous overall winners of the Easter Regatta, women's crews, as well as world and Olympic winners in classes are exempt from payment of the entry fee. (mg)
