US Senator Jeff Sessions to Deliver Keynote Address at The International Leaders Summit in Opatija-Rijeka, Croatia, June 16-18, 2011
The Adriatic Institute for Public Policy - Adriatic institut za javnu politiku announced that United States Senator Jeff Sessions, Ranking Member of the US Senate Budget Committee will deliver a keynote address at Adriatic Institute's International Leaaders Summit - A Regional Conference on Advancing Principled Reforms in partnership with Members of the European Parliament, Brussels and the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (AECR).
During the conference scheduled for mid-June 2011, which is primarily designed for reform leaders, Senator Sessions will meet elected representatives from SE Europe and elected representatives from EU member states during the roundtable strategic panels. Senator Sessions is a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the former Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Lady Thatcher serves as the patron of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists, announced Nataša Srdoč, chairman, Adriatic Institute for Public Policy.
The International Leaders Summit (ILS) in partnership with the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (AECR) and the Adriatic Institute for Public Policy (AI) will bring together senior representatives from selected political parties in southeast Europe for a strategic regional conference dedicated to issues pertaining to EU policies and politics. The conference will feature keynote speeches from leading reformers, AECR members and invited guest speakers. Elected officials from candidate countries and EU member states joined by members of political parties from the region will explore economic, political and security issues. Leaders will examine institutional competition among EU member states, sovereign debt crisis and free market reforms focusing on creating jobs and boosting economic growth.
Speakers include Members of the European Parliament, Jan Zahradil, Chairman of AECR (MEP, Czech Republic), Geoffrey Van Orden (MEP, UK), Daniel Hannan (MEP, UK), Emma McClarklin (MEP, UK) and other distinguished speakers.
The event will allow people from the world of politics with a shared interest in advancing market reforms based on the rule of law to meet with each other, to discuss pertinent issues and to share their experiences and ideas.
